Introduction
Lime rotary kiln is one of the most important and necessary equipment in lime production line plant. Lime rotary kiln refer to rotary calcination kiln (commonly known as rotary kiln), which is the main equipment for calcining calcium carbonate into lime. It is also widely used in ceramics, metallurgy, lime, chemical industry, active lime and other industries.
The classification of calcining lime
In the calcination process of lime rotary kiln, according to the technology the lime which can be divided into three categories: ordinary lime, high magnesium lime and active lime.
Ordinary lime
Calcium oxide more than 80% in the mixture, magnesium oxide less than 5%, and activity more than 180 ml.
High Magnesium Lime
High Magnesium Lime is dolomite lime. Calcium oxide more than 81% of the compounds, Magnesium oxide 5-12%, and activity more than 180 ml.
Active lime
Compound calcium oxide more than 90%, magnesium oxide content less than 0.7%, activity more than 300 ml.

Technical advantages
- Vertical preheater with advanced structure and low pressure loss can effectively improve the preheating effect. After preheating, the decomposition rate of limestone can reach 25-30%, which requires low granularity of limestone.
- The two ends of rotary kiln are sealed by reliable combined scales and refractories. The air leakage coefficient less than 10%. The composite refractory seal can greatly reduce the heat loss in the kiln.
- The round or square vertical cooler with filling and partition ventilation could reduce the outlet lime temperature below 100℃, which is convenient for transportation and storage. The secondary air enter the kiln can be preheated to over 700℃,which realize the secondary utilization of energy.
